O’Shaine’s Story!

WHO WAS O’SHAINE EVANS

O’Shaine, 26, was a kind and humble soul. He was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica and lived with his mother in Oakland, where he was training to be a boxer. O’Shaine loved to read National Geographics. He was a health conscious athlete, who promoted good habits in his family and community.

WHAT POLICE SAY HAPPENED

On October 7th, 2014, 26-year-old O’Shaine Evans was killed by plainclothes San Francisco Police Officer David Goff.

O’Shaine was shot as he sat in his mother’s car in Jack London Alley. Officer Goff first claimed that he saw a gun in Evans’ lap and shot Evans after O’Shaine refused an order to put his hands up. Goff later changed his story, saying Evans pointed the gun at him. The gun, explained Chief of Police Suhr at a Town Hall meeting, was unloaded and unmarked and identified as stolen out of New York.

WE BELIEVE SFPD IS INVOLVED IN A COVER-UP

The facts argued by SFPD do not add up. We do not believe O’Shaine threatened anyone, let alone by pointing an unloaded gun at Officer Goff. The narrative presented by Chief Suhr is not believable. Specifically…

We do not believe that O’Shaine owned or possessed a gun

When police departments collect guns at crime scenes, the weapons are held as evidence. Thus, stolen guns are easy for cops to acquire. Was this gun placed by SFPD in the crime scene?

We do not believe that O’Shaine pointed a gun at Officer Goff

Least of all we do not believe that O’Shaine would point a gun at Officer Goff, when as SFPD claims:
(a) Officer Goff identified himself as a police officer to O’Shaine,
(b) Officer Goff was pointing a loaded gun at O’Shaine, and
(c) O’Shaine knew himself to be sitting defenseless in his mother’s car with an unloaded gun.

Police version of events about O’Shaine threatening Officer Goff with an unloaded gun make no sense at all. We believe SFPD is involved in a cover-up of the facts of the shooting that resulted in O’Shaine’s death. We are seeking truth and justice for O’Shaine Evans.
